PM Vishwakarma Scheme

The PM Vishwakarma Scheme is a scheme that provides financial assistance, skill training, and other support to artisans and craftspeople.
The scheme was launched by the Prime Minister on September 17, 2023.

Benefits:

Loans: Collateral-free loans of up to Rs 3 lakh at a 5% interest rate
Skill training: Basic training of 5-7 days and advanced training of 15 days or more
Toolkit incentive: Up to Rs 15,000 in e-vouchers at the start of basic training
Marketing support: Branding, quality certification, advertising, and more
Recognition: PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card

Eligibility:

Applicants who complete basic training are eligible for the first loan tranche of up to Rs 1 lakh
Applicants who use the first loan tranche, maintain a standard loan account, adopt digital transactions, or undergo advanced training are eligible for the second loan tranche

Carpenter, boat maker, blacksmith, goldsmith, potter, sculptor, cobbler, mason, basket maker, tailor, and more

Scheme implementation

The scheme will be implemented for five years up to 2027-2028.
