Details of the work done under the branch / department.
- Conducting elections to the Lok Sabha, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Teachers’ Constituency, Graduate Constituency and District Planning Committee.
- Election related works-Works of the Election Commission of India
- Registration of all eligible voters, issuance of voter ID cards, etc
- Preparation of voters’ lists (Electoral Roll)
- Conducting elections in a democratic and fair manner
- Counting votes and declaring results
- Submitting various reports on elections to the Hon’ble Election Commission of India and the office of Hon’ble Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra State
- Payment of salaries and allowances of officers and employees of the Election Branch
- Carrying out establishment-related tasks
- Accounts related matters in the Election Branch
