The District Collector’s Office is an important institution that coordinates with all district-level agencies of the State Government. The Revenue Administration is regarded as the foundation of all administrative departments and the backbone of governance. The District Collector’s Office remains constantly committed to maintaining law and order in the district and ensuring that public peace is not disturbed.
Taking necessary measures to ensure that natural disasters and scarcity do not adversely affect the common people, facilitating various development works, and ensuring effective coordination among government machinery are key responsibilities of the District Collector’s Office. It is also a major function of the office to ensure that elections to the Lok Sabha, Legislative Assembly, and Local body elections are conducted in a fair, transparent, and smooth manner, and to exercise due supervision and control in this regard. The District Collector’s Office has been established to coordinate with various government departments and Commissionerate’s to accelerate development initiatives.
While implementing these responsibilities, if any shortcomings or deficiencies are observed in government functioning, citizens are encouraged to submit their complaints. A ‘Lokshahi Din’ is organized on the first Monday of every month at the Tahsil and district levels. All received complaints will be addressed appropriately within the framework of the law.
