Details of the work done under the branch / department.

  • Conducting elections to the Lok Sabha, Legislative Assembly, Legislative Council, Teachers’ Constituency, Graduate Constituency and District Planning Committee.
  • Election related works-Works of the Election Commission of India
  • Registration of all eligible voters, issuance of voter ID cards, etc
  • Preparation of voters’ lists (Electoral Roll)
  • Conducting elections in a democratic and fair manner
  • Counting votes and declaring results
  • Submitting various reports on elections to the Hon’ble Election Commission of India and the office of Hon’ble Chief Electoral Officer, Maharashtra State
  • Payment of salaries and allowances of officers and employees of the Election Branch
  • Carrying out establishment-related tasks
  • Accounts related matters in the Election Branch
